10/2006: Venice: 'oh dear, so dear...'
Venice has been a major tourist centre for over 500 years and in that time its citizens have ruthlessly honed their skills in parting visitors from their cash. Expect to spend a lot of money. Venice is a city that definitely lives up to the hype. It is romantic, it is charming – and it is very expensive; in fact it is legitimised larceny.

Actually didn't find it that expensive compared to other tourist cities. Brought a fab pair of leather gloves for £15!

Also found it very expensive.
Spent more in Venice in 3 nights
than I did in 14 in Goa.
Only bought food in Venice, but
had clothes made and bought hundreds of things in Goa.
Saying that both very different places.
